Glad to be going home

I have to do my turn as Duty Manager twice a year and tonight was my second turn this year. Tonight was busy as there were a lot of evening classes starting and as there was no receptionist there were lots of students who needed help to find their classes. I am supposed to finish at 9pm but just as I was thinking there wasn’t long to go we had a call from the security officer at the Granton Campus to say their had been an incident there so I had to stay until 9.30 pm by which time the police and the repair company were on their way.
