An extraordinary birthday in several ways. Birthday banner across the balcony sea view on rising. 38 by 8am. Adelaide’s hottest ever, 46.4, by 230pm. Swam in bath water Gulf. Power cut on leaving the appropriately named Melt after lovely dinner with Ros and Craig and across Henley Square for a wee drink before taxi ‘home’. Shiraz fizz with pancake breakfast. Ditto with blueberry cheesecake end of day treat during 3hr outage, in candle-lit dark. A very memorable day!
