Freakebana

Contrasting Textures for Abstract Thursday.

At Russo Lee Gallery, I saw this "floral" arrangement by Manu Torres. 
The gallery website says, "In between Surrealism and Freakebana*, this is what happened to the flower bouquet."

*Freakebana: Stella Bugbee on thecut.com says, "Freakebana (pronounced free-ke-ba-na) is the turnt cousin of Ikebana, the art of arranging whatever-the-hell, in a way that nods at the traditional Japanese art form."
