Village panto
The tiny Herefordshire village of Kilpeck has a long tradition of staging a panto in the village hall, for 17 years written and directed by the same man, in which seemingly half the population appears on stage, while the other half (and many others from nearby) fill the sell out shows. It's a fantastic example of a community coming together and having a damn good time. I spent time backstage during the matinee, while a friend helped out, and the good spirits and fun had by the cast was great to see.
And the show itself was excellent, the cast put on some fine, fun performances, well deserved their sell out run.
Bad luck if you want to go see it, tonight was the last show. But there is always next year though. I'm sure Richard is already writing it now....
