Last Linden Leaf of the Year

A rugged, richly coloured leaf has fallen,
at last, down onto the street, and
although run over a few times,
it still has the power to please us on
this cold, rainy, nearly winter day.
There's just a enough autumn glory left for
it to do its life's work of making us happy.
