Hellebore

Gavin woke up the other day to find a puncture in one of the tyres of his car - its a real nuisance as his car does not come with a jack or proper spare wheel, I presume they think most people don't know how to change a tyre or don't want to. This necessitated a visit from a mobile tyre man this morning, who found the puncture and because it was on the edge of the tyre where it could not be prepared it meant a new wheel was required, such a waste of money.

One the tyre man left I took Murdoch for a walk - it was quite bright with some blue sky, although now it is rather dull again. I love hellebores and we only have white ones in our garden, but I saw this one in someone else's garden. 

I cooked some meals for Thomas as he is not coming with us to Durham tomorrow, he wants to rather stay and work. He will also look after Murdoch for us.

Now I must go do some ironing - I don't mind as while I am ironing I listen to my book on Audible, it is so convenient being able to sync between my Kindle and Audible. I have already mentioned how much I am enjoying my book, its a great read (The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock)
