A fishy tale

For the last two days I have seen this out of the window and thought it was part of a fish that the cat (that's not our cat) must have dragged out of a pond and left at my back door.  On closer inspection, it's fabric - from what I don't know! EDIT: The husband came home and told me it's part of a tea towel that he accidentally set on fire!

This is the first blip with my new camera, a Nikon D3500. So much to learn and I've only been on the auto setting or macro but I'm going to follow the learning curve slowly.

When I was at my crochet group last night, one of the ladies offered her husband for an afternoon as he's a keen photographer and said he would happily show me what all the buttons are for and when to use them. I've spoken to her husband a few times (behind her back) as we organised a surprise wedding proposal for her at my crochet group. We rigged a fake raffle and the prize she won was a crocheted heart asking her to marry him. It is probably one of my most special moments organising the group.
