Just one day in paradice

Today I had a trip to the countryside. I was walking here and there at Pälkäne - a small town the middle Finland, some 2000 inhabitant. The weather was quite nice actually, some -4 c degrees warm and no wind. There haven't been snowing for few days, so every way and street had been cleaned enough to drive nicely and safe.

I had my husband walking with me and talked about different countries. His brittish companions had just day before visited in Finland and were surprised as everything is "so normal" here even with this amount of snow. (to be honest, this is only a good start for a finn, we're waiting some more). However, the britts said that everything goes wild and nothing works due of snow there.

Can't really understand it. We have had get used to snow, as we have it for sure every year ( not in Helsinki every year, but the other Finland every single year ) - and we actually wait for the snow as the world becomes so much lighter then.

This photo has been taken at 01 pm, the lightest and brightest moment of the day. Can you imagine how dark it would be without the snow?
