Rhönradbrot

My favourite bread was out at the bakery and I bought a Rhönradbrot.
A Rhönrad is an aero wheel in English. The wheel was invented by Otto Feick in 1925. Otto Feick grew up in Reichenbach-Steegen (just around the corner from my village) - and if you look close, you can see where the bakery/bakehouse is located.
The bread weighs 2 kilograms and is huge (like an aero wheel.....).
It's again a whole meal bread (rye and wheat).
Tomorrow morning will be the day to cut it....it has to be cut in four pieces to make slices small enough to fit on a plate.
