Phew....

A long but most enjoyable day. Lunch with a school friend I’ve not seen for 50 years and only been in touch with for a couple of years. A fascinating chap who’s done sooo much....! He now lives in Russia where he has a very successful insurance business dealing with clients all over the world and still an interest in his business in France. He’s fluent in Russian and French as well obviously in English. Run a hotel in Italy as well as a multitude of other things. Lovely to see him after al these years and also to hear about Russia which has completely changed my attitude to the country! Wine was definitely needed this evening!
