Another restaurant

So on Friday evening we met up with friends and went to a wine tasting event.   There were five wines to try, two whites and three reds.  We tried a very nice shiraz and we were going to buy a bottle but as we were going out for dinner later we did not really want to carry a bottle of wine around all evenin.  
We then went to Syrian restaurant another friend had recommended.   I'm sorry to say that it did not meet our expectations.  The dolmas was clearly out of a tin.  The humus lacked chickpeas.  The chicken was nice.  The saddest part was that the drinks were not good, I'm not sure how they made their mango lassie but it hadn't seen a fresh mango and the orange juice was cordial.   We did complain and were given free coffee. 
Still the company was good and we had a few laughs .
