Rock Strata

Drove up to Mt Lemmon today. Elevation at summit is 9,500 ft, and we drove up to Ski Valley at about 9,000 ft. Along the Mt. Lemmon highway we passed this formation of rock strata. Photo covers an area maybe 20 ft wide by 15 ft high. On the way we met a bicyclist that had ridden from an elevation of 1,000 ft in Tucson to the Seven Cataracts lookout at about 5,000 ft.
