Notes: Woke late again after being awake early. Decided to search eBay (again) for bicycle options and happened upon the color, size and model of what I was looking for at a much lower price. Store demo (orig $3200, listed $2200 OBO, I offered $1900 and they accepted). Flew into gear, rented SUV (white Rogue), got ready and wrangled Shirl and we hit the road a little after 11a. There and quick easy bike pickup, great lunch at Faded Bistro and then back the 100 mi to the beach. Happy hour w/ Shirl at her place and her Canada neighbors stopped by. Day felt like a happy whirlwind.
