Horrible

We went to see my brother in the country. While my brother and my husband were watching ski races on TV, I took a walk to see if I found anything to photograph. Once back my brother wondered if I had taken any photos. Yes, look here, what a nice view from your garden I took, I said. Well, it is horrible with all branches crossing and interfering, he said. You can not show it. But I do. :-)
The extra is a puzzle. What is it? Not the snow, but the thing under the snow.
