A very empty feeling today.  

Jamie seems to be settling in ok down in Southampton.  I will take a while to get used to not having him here.  No idea when he might be home.  An afternoon on the allotment was the best therapy on offer today.  Hopefully it will help me sleep better.

The mild interlude has brought out a few more flowers.  They are in for a shock next week!   Crocus imperati was the first 'special' crocus I grew, over thirty years ago.  I still have one of the original corms in the garden, this, very similar form is from my own seed sown in 2013.  I love the way the flower changes colour when opening, from gold to lilac.
