As a Manchester born lass, I find the work of Lowry interesting. The figures in this work are inspired by ' On the Promenade (1955) and The Harbour (1957). I like to think that Dad has taken his son sea fishing for the first time. He is saying to him. " Tha's done reet well,lad ".
