Wind in the Willow

Wondered down by the lake today in deep snow and got interested in some dead weeds along the edge. They stood out against a plain white backdrop and were covered in ice crystals, but the wind was too strong and the light too low to get my shutter speed high enough.

So I ended up selecting this willow tree in a high key image which looks rather nice with all the spindly bits in the foreground that help to ground it.
