Honest

A double dose of culture today and I was a bit disappointed with both to be honest.

A film in the afternoon. I got a bit annoyed with all the 'acting' going on in Vice and grew tired of Bale's tics fairly early on. And got a bit irked with all the little cinematic tricks too, it just all seemed a bit clumsy, with little flair involved.

A play in the evening. I won't say too much about Touching The Void as at least one person reading this is going next week while I'm babysitting for them! I'll just say that there were some good set-pieces but the emotional clout was a little lacking. I felt it dragged...and I'll leave it at that.
