Queenstown approach

A glorious day for flying, and it is always interesting coming into Queenstown with its mountainous terrain all around. The final approach here up the gorge with the Kawarau River winding along the bottom of the valley.
So son D picked me up at the airport as arranged, and we drove over to Wanaka where we'll stay for a couple of nights. Good to "hang out" for a while. Later in the afternoon I had a chance catch up with Tussock and the Boss and Bossess and see their new place. A fun day.
