Poor little guy!!

We were sad to see many, many sea cucumbers on the sand during our walk today.  I wonder if something contaminated the ocean floor, where these guys are the clean-up crew.

It's the first sign we've seen of sealife dying around here, although the rest of Florida has suffered from the red tide massively in the past months.

It seems nothing eats them, not even scavenging gulls.  My extra is the blue heron trying one out before dropping it back on the beach.
