Bang for your Buck
Not a lot for £45....
We were supposed to visit family but they cancelled- just as well as I was too knackered.
My shoulder seems to be getting worse, so I was prescribed some stronger painkillers as I kept waking up in the night. What I didn't realise was how zonked they make me feel, so I'm not sure they're really suitable for daytime use!
Chilled out for most of the day. Lucy came to play, and we had a lot of fun. Not least when she spied my bowl of fruit and then made it her mission to claim it! She clambered on my knees, held on to the collar of my jumper, even rested her head on my chest and pursed her lips to kiss me!
We sang some phonics songs from the computer that I used at school. She loved them (her mum less so) and when Shelle said no more, her eyes filled with tears and her lip quivered! I think her mum's going to have to get used to children's songs played on repeat! ;-)
She likes to be rocked to 'rockabye Lucy' whilst lying cradled in her mum's arms, but today she wanted me to do it. It was lovely, but after six rounds, my arms were heavy and I was kind of done with singing!
I pushed myself to go out on a date tonight. He was a nice guy but not really my type. We had a good chat and had some common interests, but I can't help feeling there needs to be more that just that.
I am trying to adopt a more positive mindset towards dating, and am trying to go on a date every weekend. At least when I look back I won't be able to say I gave up.
That's the plan anyway.... ;-)
