Practice session

We went for a drive up the road where major damage happened in the recent windstorm. Devastating! It reminded us of clear cuts, there were so many trees down and huge root balls. I can't imagine what it was like on the day of the storm, terrifying I'm sure. The road is cleared now, but the amount of work it took to cut and clear all the trees off it must have been incredible. Still plenty of work to do on properties along the road.
We stopped in town for a walkabout. The fire chief called G, so we went over for a chat. He wanted to ask about the carpal tunnel surgery that G had awhile back because he might need to have it done as well. There were practice sessions happening with last year's and this year's recruits, so I took a couple of quick photos.  One in the extra, and another extra with a broken bottle in a boot. The bottle confused me because it looked like the label was on upside down.
