Great Ethiopia Run

Here's a photo from the Great Ethiopia Run, from two weeks ago. I thought I had blipped this, but somehow I didn't. Aysha, Anj and I did it, with at least 35,000 people, and lots of VSO volunteers. My time for ten km was about 1:44, which amounts to a very slow walking pace. It was only at about km 5 that there was enough space to run, and then only for short bursts. However, it was good fun. It was a party atmosphere, with bands and water spray stations along the way. You can see how far the crowd stretches back behind, and we were definitely not at the front of the pack. Lots of spectators lined the route to cheer us on.
