Local History

Saw an aerial view of our barrio, in Barcelona, taken about 1930, in a local exhibition.  You can make out our little passageway . . . the top of it nearly touches the red line, leaning into it on a diagonal, slanting left, about one to two inches below the red circle (also visible at the bottom of the thumbnail).   The football stadium, close by, was the Les Corts ground of FC Barcelona opened in 1922 which served them until they moved to the Nou Camp in 1959.   St. Mirren, my home town team, were invited to play the inaugural game at the Les Corts ground.   Most of what we now see around the block from our home including many main streets simply did not exist!
