The logpile

Somebody has been busy here. Can you think why these have appeared in the park? Suggestions -
to make a safe route to school
to provide a habitat for minibeasts
because a tree was in danger of injuring walkers
to encourage growth of trees
I'm afraid it was none of these. See here and here and all will be revealed.

There are loads of stacks of logs, not all quite as neat as these. I wonder if any bravce soul will take some for firewood (after drying them out). I also know somebody who does wonderful wood turning. Bet these would (wood) be good for him!
