Down in the Weeds

Although today was less cold, sunny and blue sky, I somehow became attracted to weeds poking up out of the snow in the shade. Not a reflection of the day, more about my mood.

I liked the stark nature and simplicity of this image, it's about line and not much else, not shape or colour or texture. Pared to the minimum, the last trace of a living thing, buried in snow, it's the essence of winter.
