Lapwings

Very frosty first thing but fortunately no ice on roads or pavements.

I was meeting friends for lunch and a catch up chat but I had time for a walk round the Heritage Park Loch first.  Plenty of people out and about making the most of the sunshine.

On my recent visits the Lapwings have been settled on the island but today they were back on the rocks at the side of the water .... not for long though!  I don't think they like being spied on. The minute one takes to the wing they're all up and away to land eventually at the top of one of the fields
