Victorian Chrismas market

Penny Farthings, mulled cider, carols and carousel, hog roast and Christmas cheer!

This couple were posing for a man with a huge lens. I snuck in from the side but wasn't quick enough so this shot is a little blurry. I chose it anyway as it summed up our day nicely.

The conductor of a brass band tried his best to get a small crowd of cold English shoppers to sing along. It was hard work for the poor man but after an initial self conscious 20 minutes, the makeshift choir began to sing little. I realized on looking around the crowd however that it was not so much embarrassment stopping the hearty singalong as much as people not knowing the words!!
