Rest in Peace Sally.

I’ll always remember your smile!

We left before the crack of dawn and as we climbed into the car heard the calling birds. With double glazing it’s rare to hear them!

After that life went downhill. We took three hours from 7:00 to past 10:00 to get to Mold! Normally takes just over an hour!

We had some food with our daughter and made for the church St Garmon in llanarmon-Yn-Lal. It was the funeral of one of her best friends who died of cancer. She leaves three wonderful children and her husband. We arrived early found parking not too far from the church and found the church full! We were directed to seats near the front. It was a beautiful service with one of the hymns in Welsh and I was surprised to see Em using her welsh!

It had already started to snow as we arrived at the church. By the time we came out thick flakes and a coat of white! It was quite surreal. We watched from afar as the burial took place in the churchyard, not far from the church. Then we left. The family and close friends went to the pub across from the church. We were worried about how much more snow might come down.

As we approached Mold the snow eased to very little. As we arrived in Bolton it increased! The extra taken at home of some apples left on the garden table for the birds!
