Major Building Work

The residential care home which my son moved into in September is going to be demolished.
It’s going to be replaced by what we’re told will be a state of the art rehabilitation and residential centre.
Today families and carers were invited to see the new build and to learn a little more about what is planned.
The steel frame is up and we saw a saw a concrete stair case being craned into place.
The new build is close to the existing one and will be served by a bus stop which might help some of the residents to get out a little.
It’s part of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People but most of the accommodation will be on the first floor and all of the residents are wheelchair users.
There was will be fireproof lifts but I’m still concerned.
