25 years.....

...... of wedded bliss.  Despite the fact that some uncharitable souls said we wouldn't last 6 months.  We've had a lot of fun along the way, and celebrated with a truly wonderful dinner at a local eatery (Bracegirdles Blackwood, if you live locally and want a trip up the hill).

Bracegirdles is a chocolate shop that has always offered light meals and morning and afternoon teas.  They have branched out into dining.  Their menu is short and even the savoury dishes include chocolate.  But I can tell you that the Beef Short Rib with their secret sauce which contains dark chocolate is a revelation.  Not at all sweet, and a deep complex smokey tone that I absolutely loved.  The Rower had a chicken dish which was equally complex, but completely different.

Amazing food, and not overpriced.
