Sunset Walk

A lady walks her dog along the path that crosses the field next to the churchyard at Streat at 16:26 today, as the last speck of sun disappears behind the Downs.

With the courtesy typical of folks out walking on the paths around here, the lady asked, before stepping into the shot, if I had captured what I wanted to photograph before she interrupted it. Of course, what you see here - the last moment that direct light from the sun was visible on the brow of the Downs - came shortly after that conversation, but the photograph is, I think, enhanced by having the lady and her dog in view.
