Se Cathedral, Funchal

This panel is part of a polyptych altaropiece in the splendid late 15th century cathedral in Funchal. According to our guide book the paintings were done in Lisbon in the early 16th century, but I'd guessed Flemish and older. Couldn't get close, but they looked pretty good (the photo was zoomed and multiple-imaged). This one depicts the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, being carried to heaven by angels.
