I had an excellent morning meeting with a Mozambican conservationist who has decades of experience and important history with my organisation during the time we had a previous period of representation in Maputo. I'm re-establishing our setup here but hopefully sticking around once that's done and I'm hoping she and I can collaborate on various things, not least because the opportunities to learn from her are immense.

She invited me to this excellent outdoor cafe with strong coffee and a relaxing vibe. I imagine returning multiple times with one or more of: laptop / book / friend / podcast / notebook / sense of privilege that is very acute in Maputo [delete as relevant per visit].
