Frosty Path to the Castle
Fabulous cold but sunny day.
We decided to go to Lindisfarne. But the crossing times didn't work out. So scotched that plan
Let's go to Alnmouth then and do this 4 miles walk I found in the book. So, all organised in boots and warm clothes, including the bobble hat; into the car, and away!
Me:
"Did you pick up the route and map for the walk?"
Him
"No, thought you had it"
Another plan scotched!
So we diverted to Bamburgh. And we can have fish and chips at Pinnacles in Seahouses. Yay, a plan!
So, there we are walking over frosty snow onto an absolutely beautiful beach. Turned round to photograph the castle; here's the result.
Once we got to Seahouses we went to the RNLI boathouse and shop. Closed!
Went across the road to Pinnacles. Closed!
Tried the pub, no dogs!
Went back to Bamburgh where we knew dogs are welcome in the Victoria.
The Boulibasse sse was stunning. Now back in the caravan drinking Prosecco.
What a day.
