Water

When it's as cold as it is right now, it's good to have a heated water source for the birds. And the squirrels.

The extra is my starling. Or as we call them here, my "European" starling. The rest of its tribe - and it's a big one - is up the hill at the end of the road we go down on our regular walks. So far this is the only one that has found its way to the bird café here. S/he appears every few days and eats peanuts and bark butter. Maybe s/he's keeping quiet about the find and doesn't plan to tell anyone.
