gap to be filled

The day started with a minor emergency. One of the file servers stopped serving files. After some investigation it was eventually fixed by a reboot. Sometimes a reset is just what's needed. I suppose some packages got updated.

Met my former boss for coffee and for a quick walk. The view from Greyfriar's is spectacular. However, soon the gap in front of the Central Library will be filled with yet another hotel. Not convinced at all. The work does have some advantages as it allows a glimpse into the past.

I spent the evening trawling through my flickr archive. Quite fun to look at some old photos.
