Moorea

Sorry another back blip, but we have snow here and I got home again after dark and it is currently minus 2 F out there. But on the other hand it's a nice warm place to give you nice warm thoughts.
This is the overlook we stopped at on the way to our hotel. we stayed at the Hilton in a garden bungalow ( with a plunge pool!) . The spa was amazing. The weather here was not great and rained every afternoon and evening , so snorkeling was limited to the AM's . This was too bad because there is coral everywhere in their lagoon and lots of fish. I saw a pipe seahorse, which I had never even heard of before. 
There were quite a few birds around too,including a whole flock of brown noddies, lots of mynahs and ( in the extras) red vented bulbuls. Those guys are pushy and kept trying to invade breakfast. Along with the pidgeons.
The other fun thing about the garden area was the snails , which were huge. Easily 3-4 inches. A smalll one that was climbing on the palm at our bungalow is also in extras.
