Given up

Long morning walk where I found myself looking for damage from the recent bitter cold and wet. I didn't find any - just another episode of winter. Of course, much of the vegetation is dead with seeds now scattered waiting for longer light and greater warmth. It will come. Meantime, little temporary sculptures are left as a reminder of what was.
