It’s tough out there ....

.... for wildlife!
Another very cold but sunny day.
I went across to Strichen lake and it was almost all frozen over.
I saw two swans flying in but they didn’t land on the water. They landed on the ice and cane sliding to a halt as you can see in the main photo.
Then they had quite a long walk back to the small piece of unfrozen water as you can see in the extra.
So much effort for them.
P.S. I don’t think he’s blue with the cold, more the reflection of the ice and the sky, but I could be wrong!
