Coronation Plate 1902
Another day 'recovering' - maybe a little, but not very much :-(
One of the benefits of being a 'collector of anything and everything' is, in a situation such as this, it doesn't take too long for 'something' to offer itself as the day's Blip :-)
This is a commemorate plate celebrating the Coronation of King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra in June 1902.
'These plaques were presented as a memento of the Coronation to the 80,000 Children of the City by Ambrose Edmund Butler JP of Kirkstall Forge, Lord Mayor of Leeds'.
What a lovely, low key gesture by the Lord Mayor - I hope he got a good discount...:-)
