St Jean d'Angely in the rain

Elvis and I had a little walk around St Jean d'Angely whilst Mr F was having a medical here. It has some very picturesque old buildings, and loads of free parking. Those are the only plus points as far as I can see.
A lot of the old buildings were derelict, and seemed to be occupied by pigeons though, and most of the town centre shops were banks and estate agents, with only one cafe, and hardly any restaurants. Maybe it looks better in sunshine I don't know, but I wouldn't rush back!
Later, we took the car in to have its wheels balanced, and turns out that it has a broken something which means the wheels could fall off or the tyres burst, I think that's what he said, plus our brakes are too thin! It was apparently too dangerous to drive so the garage kept it and loaned us a little Peugeot until tomorrow, when apparently it will all be fixed for us to go on our travels!
Elvis is now safely tucked away in kennels (she asked if we wanted heating for him! Of course we did!) and it's very quiet here without him!
