Inviting

Two charity shops in Wooler. This one, run by HospiceCare North Northumberland, is relatively new. It looks very inviting with nice, seasonal window displays and, on the inside, the shop is bright and warm, and a pleasant place to browse. Love the chandeliers in the windows!

On the home front, the living room renovations are progressing - the stone on the chimney breast has been finished with mortar and looks much better than it did a few days ago, and MrM and Jake are preparing to level the floor. Lots of floorboards up, and still lots of dust in the air!

Escaped the chaos for a while this morning and went to singing. But returned to discover that the washing machine was out of action because water had frozen in one of the pipes in the little downstairs room where it's kept - despite the frost-buster heater which was on all night. MrM located the problem and has defrosted the pipe - tomorrow we're off to buy more lagging...
