Another gift

Things I like about Pristina:
-it is safe enough to walk, alone, with a bag, even at night
-if it is cloudy and the sky is dull, it will be beautiful later in the day
-people like Americans more than anywhere that I’ve ever been
-it is small enough that it is possible to get your bearings and be able to walk around by yourself even if you are as spatially challenged as I am

We went to the distribution company and they had a little statue I admired. It is designed like a tree, with bent transmission towers as the trunk and a map of Kosovo and its transmission lines as the top. The CEO gave me one. Now I will have to check luggage on the way home but it is such a clever artistic interpretation that I’m completely delighted.
