Today's the day ………………………. to contest

No new snow overnight - but temperatures too low for anything remaining to melt.  And compared with conditions in other parts of the country, we really have to count our blessings because today was another sunny, blue-skied day here.

Today, we move into the final month of winter (always to be celebrated in this house) - and excitingly to the first round of the Six Nations Rugby Competition.  Tonight sees the match Wales v France to be played in Paris.  Let's hope they have the weather conditions under control - and no snow on any seats in the stadium.

At times like these, our thoughts turn to good friends Marc and Marie Claire, who no doubt will be watching too.  The Welsh dragon is flying here - let the contest begin …………………………!
