Day out

In Edinburgh with friends.

I was carrying a rather old compact which the kids tend to use and which is extremely battered. Snapped this of my feet while waiting for the train in and didn't really take any more as the day unfolded.

Anyways, wine in a lovely wine bar. I didn't get the current name, but a group of more mature Ladies who came in told us it was called "Champagne Charlies" in their younger days and was *the* place to be seen and see stars of the 60's. Lunch at La Tasca was lovely, and the window to the left in the image on that page is where we sat. Another visit to the first wine bar and then.......

This is beginning to read like a litany of wine! Suffice to say that the company of good friends for a day out is a wonderful thing! Offsprings for both LovelyWife andI and our friends were being looked after by family (obviously not the same family members, of course) which allowed us to relax without wondering what they were getting up to.
