Is stupidity contagious

So, Theresa spends forever telling everyone that her deal is the only deal, and can’t be re-negotiated. Then she realises she can’t get the votes, so she whips her own party to vote for an amendment that wipes it out. She knows the amendment is bogus - the EU has already told her they won’t change it because without a legal backstop the morons in her party will throw Ireland under the bus first chance they get. She knows she will get nothing, but she buys herself 2 more weeks to wind down the clock. And MPs let her.

I don’t think this will work in the end. But there is a very special place in hell waiting for everyone who has let this charade continue.
