Sally Mair - Loving life

The cultural divide

So today my journey started... Slightly inauspiciously when all the fast trains to Glasgow from Edinburgh appeared to be cancelled. So I had an adventure and went via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld, slower but got to Glasgow Queens Street eventually.
I used my birds pass to get the airport bus out to the airport and am now safely ensconced in my hotel room ready for a good night's sleep and my travel tomorrow.
Mind you, I'm not sure that I haven't done the most tricky bit already. An Edinburgh girl in Glasgow, phew, a real culture shock.
I took the bus back into town just before dinner to get my walking done and of course had to take this shot of the Duke of Wellington with his pokey hat on.
You'll note that unlike dahn sahf, there is a lack of white stuff on the ground.
13666 steps today. Quite happy with that, think I'll be doing a few circuits of Glasgow and Dubai airports tomorrow to get enough steps done.
