Snow Day

What an (almost) unexpected treat. Campus was closed today so no having to make it through the snow into work today. Which I was more and more grateful for as the day wore on. After a snowy walk this morning, the snow returned in the afternoon and evening and we now have a thick covering. I've been out once to knock the snow off some of the trees and shrubs in the garden to stop the weight of the snow breaking the branches, but they are back to where they were earlier so I'll cross my fingers that there's not too much permanent damage. It's amazing how heavy snow is!

We did have plans for tomorrow, but I'm expecting they'll have to change because I certainly don't want to take the car out in this!
