Not miserable

My love affair with Les miserables has been a long one. As a 16 year old girl I happened to change the channel to the 10th anniversary concert on TV. I had no idea what it was but sat and watched the whole thing, absolutely mesmerised.

I soon bought the tapes and listened to nothing else until I knew every word. I didn't really know exactly what was going on as it was only a concert but I was blown away by the music. 

Finally, a few years later I got to see the show. I was absolutely overwhelmed that after all of this time I saw it! 

It has been back to town a couple of times and each time I have seen it at least twice. The 20th anniversary concert was broadcast at a cinema nearby and I went on my own with a bottle of wine and cried the whole way through.. 

And here I was again. Still overwhelmed. Still mesmerised and still completely in love. A wonderful night with one of my favourite people and such an amazing show.
